“America the land of opportunity” This has been true in my case. I emigrated from Ecuador as a teenager, assimilated and adopted the American way of life. I spent many years of my life trying to find a “calling”. It was not until I was afforded an opportunity to be part of a team specializing in Immigration Law that I knew this was what I wanted to do. I know firsthand the joy and strife that comes from becoming “Americanized”. This knowledge has helped me help others in their endeavors to better their lives by coming to America. I have been working as an immigration paralegal since September 1999. My experience helping people achieve the American dream has been rewarding to say the least. By helping others attain their dream I become more than “hired help” but a friend.

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched … but are felt in the heart.” Helen Keller.

There is nothing more beautiful than knowing I have made a difference in someone else’s life. It is not just about coming to the United States; it is about everything it represents – better jobs, better education, a better life.

Due to my experience with people of so many diversified backgrounds, I have developed a fascination for learning different languages and acquainting myself with different cultures. I enjoy meeting people of all nationalities -an experience I could have not lived if it was not for the line of work I do. I love what I do, and enjoy making my contribution to make sure America remains a portrait of beautiful hues of people.
