Rashmi Shah approaches each case by balancing compassion with technical expertise. Her priority is to clarify the intricate process of immigration law for her clients, and to provide them with honest, detailed, and carefully considered options.
Rashmi attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. She went on to earn double tarheel status by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
Rashmi knew early on that immigration law would be her calling. She participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Policy Clinic at the University of North Carolina School of Law, helping refugees and domestic violence victims, and interned with a well-known Atlanta firm where she assisted international athletes with their green card applications. After graduation, she started a solo practice focusing on family and employment immigration and helped train other lawyers on immigration consequences of criminal issues. Rashmi joined Bashyam Spiro in 2011. She was drawn to the expertise of team, and its dedication to the client. Rashmi is now Partner of the firm and helps guide the firm’s practice to stand out by delivering big firm knowledge and expertise, with small firm values of quality customer service and approachable, personable style.
